Food for Hungry Weekends

Whenever I would see someone with insufficient food or unmet basic nutritional needs, I experienced a pain in my heart that was difficult to explain. I knew that I cannot tackle the problem entirely but had been thinking of how as an individual can I contribute towards providing food to the needy.

Soon we got an opportunity to participate in a food distribution program for street children through an NGO and their team helped us to set up a similar program in Pune, PCMC.

Soon we were supported by Yoga Vidya Pranic Healing Foundation of Maharashtra which is a registered charitable trust. In 2005 our teacher Grand Master Choa Kok Sui established a separate Foundation under the name of “MCKS FOOD FOR THE HUNGRY FOUNDATION, MAHARASHTRA” to provide food to the hungry. It is guided by the fundamental principles of humanity, equality, voluntary service, unity and integrity. His vision was a hunger free society where there was no starvation, suffering and diseases due to prolonged hunger.
In this program Pranic Healers themselves visit various places to serve the food to the needy as wholesome and nutritious meals in form of necessary grains and groceries to prepare meal or are provided with cooked meals
By visiting them personally and providing service, the pranic healers themselves grow spiritually. (All the donations to the foundation are exempted from Income Tax under section 80G of the Income Tax Act)

YVPHFM has adopted villages and given them ration where due to poverty they are unable to have food in various areas of the State of Maharashtra . YVPHFM has been actively working in the various cities of Maharashtra like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Solapur, Kolhapur, Nasik etc. & cities of Gujarat like Ahmedabad, Surat, Halwad, Baroda etc.
We are very happy to inform you that In Pune, Tatva Wellness Point has been able to extend support and contribute to the service program through the monthly food distribution to the needy in PCMC since october 2013.
Many Pranic Healers and non Pranic Healers extend cooperation by donation and giving service. These activities would not be possible without generous support from everyone.
